About Wheres Daddy
When I was a small child in what is today south Sudan, I narrowly escaped being abducted as a child soldier on several occasions.
I and other young and older boys would run to hide in the words when the rebels were searching for children for child soldiers. My father wasn’t alive to protect us like others. He died when I was 8 months old. I never got to see and know him.
When my eyes were opened, I realized that every child needed a father. My mom didn’t give me an answer when I asked her. She instead cried every time I asked that, but my sister, Joyce was brave enough to tell me what the whole story.
Sharing my story was so difficult that I had to put in a song. That is why I called it “Where’s Daddy?’ because that’s the question I actually asked my mama.
God bless you as you listen.
