ROGER MATT BARAKA I was born in Africa, Uganda. My experience and passion with music is a drive right away from my parents. My better experience with music were lessons from my Mother 'Joanna Matovu Baraka' and from my father 'Fred Matovu Baraka' who has a constant flow of music and instruments. My mother was never formal about music, likewise to my Dad, but their talents grew and were nurtured as they kept on serving ministering in Christian Churches. I was always amazed at how my Dad could play any tune that was fresh in his mind at any time. My mom's ability to improvise and create a moment of entertainment through her sweet voice was the biggest influence on my desire to learn and know more about music. I spent my childhood wanting to know and figure out how to improvise and play freely on instruments. Once I started to get on the right path of this, it became and addiction I still crave each day of my life. Later off after getting done with my Highschool, I joined University, an institute in Wandegeya, Kampala here in uganda, and applied for Journalism and Mass communication. Which I later graduated and am now working with a Recording Studio here in Jinja,Uganda. I worked with several recording studios in Kampala as I was still at School in Wandegeya, Kampala, and that never kept me down, it gave me a drive to learn more and nurture my ability to compose/write music, voice music and so forth. The recording studios I worked with influenced my music career immensely. Each with talents I have admired, I have always enjoyed recording with these studios who had love in their playing, as their playing allowed our songs to reach their potential and beyond. Am finding myself to where lam right now because of the generous efforts from my parents who allowed me to stick on my talent, passion and dreams. Am now running a musical team 'Baraka Nation' with different young talented people. And we are ready to take Gospel Music to the World. *Roger Matt Baraka - Baraka Nation* *
